Account Manager BeNeLux - Cybersecurity | Grow & Own the BeNeLux Market

Greenbone (home of OPENVAS) is a globally operating company developing open-source solutions for vulnerability analysis and management. Our products protect the digital infrastructures of organizations of all sizes by identifying security issues before they turn into real threats.

As an Account Manager, you will play a key role in securing our customers' IT landscapes against external threats. You will be part of our international sales team but will be exclusively responsible for developing and expanding our presence in the BeNeLux market. You will be ​teaming with a Netherlands-based Presales Engineer.

The position will initially be offered on a fixed-term contract of 12 months.

Your mission

  • Utilize the extensive community of our open source vulnerability tool and convert international prospects into customers
  • Create and execute your growth plan for the BeNeLux market
  • Proactively identify and acquire new customers through outbound sales efforts
  • Drive the sales process from lead generation to closing deals
  • Occasional international travel for customer visits and trade fairs
  • Clearly articulate the value proposition of Greenbone’s solutions and products
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide the best solutions for customers

What you offer

  • You're a market builder at heart. You thrive on opening doors, developing new territories, and turning untapped opportunities into long-term customer relationships. You've already helped establish or grow a business in the Netherlands.
  • You know how to sell complex B2B software solutions. You bring several years of experience managing the full sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification to negotiation and closing.
  • You understand the IT landscape. Experience in cybersecurity is a strong advantage, particularly if you've worked with public sector organizations or enterprise customers.
  • You're a natural hunter with a strategic mindset. Winning new customers energizes you, but you're equally skilled at identifying growth opportunities within existing accounts.
  • You can engage decision-makers with confidence. You're comfortable discussing complex IT challenges with senior stakeholders, understanding their business needs, and translating them into compelling solutions.
  • You take ownership of your success. You're self-driven, commercially ambitious, and comfortable working independently while collaborating with an international team. You use structured sales methodologies, CRM tools, and a data-driven approach to consistently deliver results.
  • You speak your customers' language. You have excellent Dutch communication skills (C1 level or higher) and full professional proficiency in English, enabling you to confidently engage with decision-makers, build trusted customer relationships, and collaborate effectively with your international colleagues.
